Jake Paul questions Ryan Garcia after 'failed' drug tests in Devin Haney victory

Jake Paul questions Ryan Garcia after 'failed' drug tests in Devin Haney victory

Garcia has responded to being questioned by Paul over a 'failed' drug test.

Jake Paul has questioned Ryan Garcia on whether or not he cheated to beat Devin Haney.

Garcia, 25, recently put in an impressive performance to secure victory over Haney back in April.

But controversy has since spread over the result after the former interim WBC lightweight champion tested positive for performance enhancing drugs (PEDs), both before and after the fight.

Garcia, who denies all claims of using the banned substances, tested positive for Ostarine on April 19 - as well as immediately after the fight.

The SARM (selective androgen receptive modulator) is known to help build lean body muscle mass.

"Everybody knows that I don't cheat," Garcia said on his personal social media account.

"Never taken a steroid, I don't even know where to get steroids. I barely take supplements. Big lies, I beat him."

Speaking in a video call between Paul and Garcia on, who were discussing the news that will likely lead to the result being a No Contest, Paul said: "If you did do it, then that’s really f*cked up bro and I’m going to be pissed off. That’s f*cked up."

Garcia reiterated: "I didn't do it. If I did it bro, and I know damn well that I didn't, I would've quit boxing. I didn't do it.

"I don't think you're doubting me, I just think you're trying to ask questions just like everybody else."

Paul continued by adding: "Exactly. It's all messy bro. I also pray for Devin's safety. I know him as a person, he's a great guy."

Garcia now has ten days to request for his B sample to be tested.

"Safety, fairness, and integrity in professional athletic competition are essential. The Commission is in communication with Vada and is reviewing the matter," the New York State Athletic Commission said to the BBC when questioned on the reported drug tests.
