Spanish news outlet OK Diario are reporting that Diego Simeone has told Atletico Madrid he has decided to leave the Vicente Calderon at the end of the season, ahead of a move to Chelsea.
The Argentinean coach is a 'Rojiblancos' legend, having helped them to a domestic double in the 95/96 season and then returning as manager in 2011 to lead Atleti to a Europa League, Copa Del Rey and La Liga title. However, it would appear that Simeone's time in the Spanish capital is coming to a close again, with Stamford Bridge beckoning.
El Confidencial reported recently that Simeone had been made Chelsea's primary target to take over in the Summer, after the departure of Jose Mourinho in December. The Premier League champions will reportedly double 'El Cholo's' wages, meaning he'll be earning a salary of 12m euros a year with the Blues.
Reports in Spain are also claiming that Simeone has begun taking English lessons ahead of his move to London.
