Ryan Garcia has lost a huge bet to rival Devin Haney less than 24 hours after agreeing to the deal.
Garcia and Haney were set to go head-to-head at the Barclays Center in New York on Saturday night but the fight was plunged into chaos on Friday during the weigh-ins.
Many people expected Garcia to miss weight after he posted multiple videos showcasing erratic behaviour in the weeks leading to the fight.

The fight was put in jeopardy when Garcia stepped onto the scales on Friday weighing 143.lbs, 3.1lbs over the limit.

During the pre-fight press conference on Thursday, both fighters shook hands on a huge bet which has proved extremely costly for Garcia.

Despite his father urging him not to agree to the deal, Garcia agreed to pay Haney $500,000 for every pound of weight over the 140lbs limit.
As a result of his weigh-in mishap, Haney has revealed his opponent has honored the deal meaning Garcia will pay him $1.5million before a punch has been thrown.

Golden Boy promotions have confirmed the fight is still ongoing after both teams agreed to new terms.
Their statement reads: “Ryan has weighed-in over his contractual weight. He will honor the handshake made at the final press conference yesterday. We have a fight.”

Garcia responded to losing the bet on X, telling fans to 'stop crying' over him missing weight.
He added: "I feel great and I got a 3 pound advantage. Let’s gooo hahahahaa. Winners do what they have to do I’m still sharp"

It is unclear at this time if Garcia will crowned champion should he emerge victorious against Haney who is the reigning WBC super lightweight champion.
The pair have met six times at amateurs, winning three fights apiece.
