Boxing fans react as Drake uploads video of himself hitting the pads

Boxing fans have commented on superstar rapper Drake hitting the pads, leaving fans divided online.

We all know about the infamous 'Drake curse' and his desire to bet huge amounts of money on the biggest fights in boxing and the UFC.

But does the Canadian have skills with his hands? Well, he's uploaded a video of himself hitting the pads, showing off his handy work.

The clip shows the 36-year-old standing in an orthodox stance and smashing the pads, delivering some tasty combinations with his trainer.

He also mimics Floyd Mayweather's signature boxing padwork routine, with fight fans on social media having their say on his skills.

One Twitter user wrote: "He keeps leaving that left hand down - so better question is. Does he have chin?"

A second tweeted: "Not bad, keep working!"

A third added: "Anyone can look good on the mits and punching bag but I wanna see him spar."

A fourth observed: "His chin so high in the air."

Another commented; "His pad work’s not bad."

Drake hitting the pads is about as far as we'll get in terms of him showing off his boxing skills.

But with the wave of exhibition bouts in the sport, don't rule out him being involved in some sort of money-spinning showdown with a fellow celebrity.
