Tony Bellew produced a huge upset by beating David Haye in their grudge match over the weekend, and the grueling fight has seen both men pocket cool seven-figure cheques.

Months of barbing finally culminated on Saturday night as they waged war at the iconic O2 Arena. A tentative start was subsequently followed by an explosive 6th round.

Haye badly injured his Achilles, severely hampering his movement for the rest of the fight. And Bellew took full advantage by delivering an onslaught before Shane McGuigan pulled his fighter from the contest.

But according to The Mirror, Haye earned a massive pay-day raking in £4.2 million while his Scouse counterpart bagged his biggest purse of his professional career - and by some distance.

The former Cruiserweight and Heavyweight champion is no stranger to big purses after making a reported £5 million for his lop-sided victory over Audley Harrison, as well as £10 million against Wladimir Klitschko.

- Haye - £4.2 million

- Bellew - £2.8 million

No wonder both fighters are eager for a rematch! The highly-anticipated fight is expected to surpass the 600,000k box office buys making it a successful event, not to mention the sold-out raucous crowd.

Meanwhile, following the fight, Haye underwent surgery releasing this message;

"David underwent surgery to his right Achilles this afternoon, after completely rupturing the tendon during Saturday night's fight with Tony Bellew. David would like to thank everyone for their many messages of support, as well as the staff at the hospital."

Rematch, anyone?!
