SPORTbible's Fighter To Watch: Cruiserweight Contender Isaac Chamberlain

After returning to the ring for the first time in over six months, which saw Isaac Chamberlain rack up his seventh victory, the budding cruiserweight prospect now set his sights on Blaise Mendouo.

Matchroom Boxing will showcase their budding roster on July 1st with a host of their rising stars all in action from London's iconic O2 Arena billed as 'Summertime Brawl.'

Topping the bill pits Frank Buglioni vs. Ricky Summers as they slug it our for the coveted British light-heavyweight title.

But on the stacked under-card features some of the stables finest fighters from welterweight phenom Conor Benn to the hard hitting Lawrence Okolie and the exiting debut of Joshua Buatsi.

And the former Olympian isn't the only cruiserweight on the bill. SPORTbible sponsored fighter Chamberlain is also back in action.

After making his professional bow in 2015, Chamberlain has since raced to a perfect 7-0 professional record.

And the 23-year-old now looks to add another victory to the win column as he faces ex-Cameroonian Olympian, Mendouo.

With a British ruler at world level in Tony Bellew, as well as a red-hot division which includes fellow London rival Okolie, Chamberlain is amidst a storm which could see him face off against Okolie down the line.

Speaking ahead of his fight at the pre-fight press conference, he remains focused on himself while detailing his sparring, "It's an interesting division. I'm focused on myself. I'm flying out to Poland tomorrow to spar with a World Champ."

Chamberlain will seek to keep his record unblemished while climbing up the proverbial ladder as he sets his cross-hairs on the British title before progressing to European then world honours.

The Brixton-boxer has rose to prominence as one of the most exciting fighters in the country with his undeniable talent and burning desire to fulfill his lofty ambitions.

And as he continues to make a noise in the division, Chamberlain is definitely one to keep on eye as he ascends up the ranks.
