The Rest Of 2018 Is A Dream For Fight Fans

Buckle up, fight fans; there are some mouth-watering bouts inside the ring and cage going down in 2018.

The boxing and UFC gods have delivered some combative blessings with huge fights penciled in from September to December.

We're talking super-fights involving Conor McGregor and Gennady Golovkin, among many, many, others.

McGregor, who's set to make his first trip to the famed Octagon since 2016, is returning against Khabib Nurmagomedov in a UFC lightweight title bout.

The unbeaten Dagestan phenom bagged the 155lbs strap in April, and is slated to defend his belt versus McGregor.

The UFC 229 main-event pits one of the most lethal strikers opposite a grappling machine. A fascinating stylistic match-up between two elite fighters.

Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor isn't the only brilliant UFC match-up in 2018.

In September from Dallas, Texas, Liverpool's Darren Till gets his first shot at UFC gold, fighting welterweight king Tyron Woodley at UFC 228.

While Dana White has been busy matching his fighters, promoters in the boxing world have been active, too.

The stand-out fight is easily the rematch between Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin on September 16th.

The pair fought to a majority draw back in 2017.

They were set to fight sooner until the Mexican p*ssed hot. A few months later than planned, the two middleweight-behemoths meet in Vegas.

Anthony Joshua puts his array of heavyweight world titles on the line against dangerous Russian veteran Alexander Povetkin at Wembley Stadium on September 22nd.

A week later, battle of Britain.

George Groves faces the undefeated Callum Smith in the World Boxing Super Series super-middleweight final from Saudi Arabia.

Not to mention; Danny Garcia vs. Shawn Porter, Billy Joe Saunders vs. Demetrius Andrade and Dustin Poirier vs. Nate Diaz, to name but a few.

That's an incredible line-up of fights.

And there's another in the works. A potential heavyweight dust-up including Tyson Fury. He's reportedly set to fight WBC holder Deontay Wilder with December in Vegas being mentioned.
