Deontay Wilder was able to hold on to his WBC Heavyweight Championship after securing a controversial draw against Tyson Fury on 1st December.

The 33-year-old Alabama-born boxer has now sat down with several reporters for Showtime to rewatch his bout.

During the video (posted below), the Bronze Bomber has revealed how the Gypsy King thanked him for taking the fight.

"He was doing all the talking," he explained. "He was telling me how he loves me and [saying] 'thank you for the opportunity.'

"He was talking about supporting the kids and 'we did it -- you're a great champion, no-one's going to beat you.'

"Different things like that, you know what I mean?"

One of the more memorable moments from the fight was during the 12th round when Wilder knocked down the 30-year-old Brit.

Fury climbed back to his feet and beat the count, shocking boxing fans and even the WBC Heavyweight Champion.

Wilder has also shared his feelings of seeing the undefeated Fury beat the count from referee Jack Reiss.

"I was amazed," he said.

"If you didn't believe in God then, you do now!"

In the aftermath of the fight, Reiss has explained his reason for not ending the bout in the 12th round when Wilder landed his devastating punch on Fury.

The WBC released a statement yesterday that said it had reached a "unanimous agreement" to sanction a rematch.
