Red Bull Racing have released a statement after it was reported that chief designer Adrian Newey wants to leave the team.
On Thursday afternoon, it was reported that Red Bull’s chief designer Newey wants to leave the team in the near future.
Responding to those reports, the Formula 1 champions have now broken their silence.
As reported by GB News, the statement read: “Adrian is contracted until at least the end of 2025 and we are unaware of him joining any other team.”

The 65-year-old Brit is often regarded as F1’s greatest-ever car designers having played a huge part in Red Bull’s two dominant eras.
Newey has also played a key role in Williams and McLaren’s previous success in the sport.
If Newey is to leave Red Bull, it could lead to a potential exit for Max Verstappen.
Speaking recently about his future, the 26-year-old said: “I signed a long deal. The only thing I said from the beginning is we want to have a peaceful environment, lately we have been talking about the car.

“I am happy about that, I am happy with the team and there has never been a reason to leave.”
With Lewis Hamilton set to join Ferrari in 2025, Verstappen has been linked with a move to Mercedes as the Brit’s replacement.
When asked about Verstappen to Mercedes, Sky Sports commentator David Croft has his doubts.

He said prior to the Japanese Grand Prix: “Sebastian Vettel always said when he retired from Formula 1 that if anyone wanted to give him a seat for a one-off race, Suzuka wouldn’t be a problem and he would love to come back here. But is Max Verstappen going to get that seat at Mercedes first?
“I don’t think so, I really don’t and I’ve not thought that he’s been going to Mercedes ever since these rumours started. He said in the press conference earlier that he was happy at the team he is currently driving for, at Red Bull, he was happy with the way things were and he was hoping it would stay that way”
