Sam Allardyce has bewildered England supporters with his bizarre selection for England's starting eleven against Tunisia.
The Three Lions face off against the North African side for their opening World Cup group game, and former England boss Allardyce told talkSPORT of what starting eleven he would chose for the encounter. It's not a pretty sight:
"Jordan Pickford is definitely the number one, for me. [..] I would have Gary Cahill over Harry Maguire for his experience, I'd pick Kyle Walker and I'd have John Stones because of his ability to come out from the back.

"If you're having wing backs, I think Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose.
Not too bad so far, but here's where Allardyce drops the massive clanger:
"I'd have both Jordan Henderson and Eric Dier in midfield and leave them there sitting and have one player in front of them, and that would be Dele Alli for me.

Wow. There it is. Peak Allardyce, there, choosing two holding central midfielders. What's he like, eh?
Social media went into meltdown, with the general sentiment being that they're glad the former Everton boss left the position of England boss after only one game in charge.

Allardyce then goes on to choose his strike-force, which, in fairness, is pretty sound:
