Is this the bet of the weekend?

Things are really hotting up in our Beat the Bookie challenge with 888sport, as we have now won two trebles each and returned decent profit all round!

If you missed our previous articles, 888sport asked us to put our money where our mouth is and challenged us to take 'em on when we said we could pick winners better than they can. We, of course, jumped at the challenge.

The premise for the challenge is simple. For each round of fixtures we (with the help of our pals at TheODDSbible) pick a treble and 888sport pick a treble. Whoever returns the largest profit by the end of the year is the winner.

Here are our selections for this week...

TheSPORTbible

Manchester City v Chelsea

Both Teams to Score - 8/13

This one probably doesn't look too appealing if you look at the stats due to Chelsea's ridiculous run of clean sheets recently, but it's probably safe to assume that Man City will pose a greater attacking threat than most have in recent weeks.

We will have Sergio Aguero and Diego Costa, two of the best and most in form strikers in the world, on the pitch at the same time, so I'm banking on at least one goal for each side.

We've debated this long and hard in the office, and most of us actually think Chelsea could edge it and get the win, but let's play it safe since it's part of a treble.

West Ham v Arsenal

Arsenal to beat West Ham - 3/4

Arsenal have won six of their last eight games away from home in all competitions, with the only other two ending as 1-1 draws after hard fought games against Man Utd and PSG.

Both of these sides played midweek in the EFL Cup, and we believe this gives Arsenal the edge. Arsene Wenger rested basically all of his first team players in the 0-2 loss against Southampton, whilst Slaven Bilić played almost all of West Ham's first choice players as they lost to Man Utd.

You'd have to assume Arsenal's players will have a physical advantage as the game draws on, so we're more than happy to back them to win at 3/4.

Tottenham v Swansea

Tottenham to Score Over 1.5 Goals - 9/20

Similar to with our first selection, you have to be willing to go against recent form and stats and just trust common sense on this one.

Spurs have really struggled to score more than once per game at home this season, which has led to them struggling to put teams away on a couple of occasions. That should change now they have Harry Kane back fit and firing, though. The England star has already bagged 3 goals in 3 games since his return and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

To say that Swansea are struggling this season would be an understatement, and we can easily see Spurs knocking two or three goals past them.

Our three selections make up a 14/5 treble with 888sport. That means if you bet £10 using their treble odds sign up offer you'll make a cool £95.

Crystal Palace v Southampton

Southampton Over 1.5 Team Goals - 11/9

Southampton look like they're back in form after a run of sub-par domestic performances. A home draw with Liverpool was followed by victories over Everton and Arsenal and thinks are looking good for the Saints again.

Palace, on the other hand, are in dire straits. They're in the midst of a six-game losing run in the Premier League that has seen them plummet down the table to just outside of the relegation places on goal difference.

In their last five games, Palace have conceded 17 goals - including five to (then bottom of the league) Swansea City. The likes of Charlie Austin and Nathan Redmond could have a field day here.

Stoke v Burnley

Stoke to beat Burnley - 8/13

After a horrendous start to the season, Stoke are in very decent form. They've won four of their last six Premier League games and have climbed to a respectable 11th in that time.

Burnley's home form sees them just below in 13th, but their away form is serious cause for concern. Sean Dyche's men have lost four of their five away games this season - scoring once and conceding 13 times (and it should have been more).

We fancy Joe Allen to lead Stoke to a convincing victory here.

Sunderland v Leicester

Over 1.5 Goals - 3/10

Leicester's defence of the Premier League title hasn't exactly gone as planned and Claudio Ranieri finds his Foxes side languishing in 14th with just the single win in their last eight games.

Sunderland are rock bottom of the league, with just eight points, but six have come in their last three games.

Over 1.5 Goals at 3/10 looks solid here; Sunderland haven't had a home game go under and Leicester haven't had an away game go under - so you can see why we like it.

This treble comes in at 37/10, so £10 returns £120.89 with 888sport's treble odds offer.
