Joshua Kimmich in furious bust-up with key Bayern Munich figure as details of altercation emerge

Things have gone from bad to worse for Bayern Munich after details of a heated post-match bust-up between Joshua Kimmich and Thomas Tuchel's assistant emerged.

It has been a disastrous month for the reigning Bundesliga champions.

Just four days after losing 3-0 against top of the league Bayer Leverkusen on February 10, the Bavarians were beaten by Lazio in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash.

Then, with Thomas Tuchel coming under increasing pressure following a string of poor results, Bayern fell to a third defeat in nine days as 11th place Bochum recorded a hard-fought 3-2 win at the Vonovia-Ruhrstadion.

Harry Kane managed to claw one back for the visitors late on but it wasn't enough as goals from Takuma Asano, Keven Schlotterbeck and Kevin Stoger sealed a historic win for Thomas Letsch's side.

As you can imagine, tensions were naturally high in the Bayern camp after Sunday's full-time whistle.

And according to German publication BILD, experienced midfielder Joshua Kimmich clashed with Bayern assistant manager Zsolt Low on their way to the dressing room.

After a short period, it appeared the exchange was over but Low reportedly shouted something at Kimmich as he walked up the stairs in the tunnel, which resulted in another hostile confrontation.

In fact, Bayern captain Manuel Neuer and numerous other Bayern teammates were forced to step in and calm the situation down.

Thomas Tuchel would later confirm that things got out of hand between Kimmich and Low.

"I know what was going on. This is not for the public," he told reporters.

"We are in a football locker room. This is a pretty normal occurrence if kept within limits. And it stayed within limits."

Tuchel went on to claim that his team were unlucky to lose. "I don't think the defeat was a fair result today. A lot went against us," he added.

"We had five or six clear-cut chances and dominated the game. We went behind out of nowhere, but never gave up until the final whistle. We were outnumbered for a long time. I feel the defeat was different to the last two, it was undeserved.

"Everything that could go wrong did go wrong today. We perhaps lost a bit of momentum after the break and Bochum used that to fire themselves up. Overall, we performed differently today than in Leverkusen and Rome. We never lost hope."
