Sad News As Scan Uncovers New Tumour For Bradley Lowery

The footballing world has fallen in love with young Bradley Lowery. Unfortunately the family have today been hit with the news of a new tumour in his lower back.

The five year old Sunderland fan has become famous for his incredible smile in his battle against neuroblastoma.

Bradley has appeared on numerous occasions as a mascot for his beloved Black Cats as his family have tried to raise funds for the youngster to get treatment in America for the rare cancer.

Unfortunately tonight the family revealed in a Facebook post that during scans doctors found a new tumour growing in the youngsters lower back.

"Bradley scans show that there has been a small reduction in some parts however there is a new tumour on the bottom of his back."

And the family revealed how knocked by the news they are, "As you can imagine we are devastated and heart broken with this news as I really wanted the new treatment to work.

"We are not sure where we go from here as it will depend on his bone marrow biopsy results."


The world has fallen for Bradley and it's no surprise with the smile and energy he brings even considering his situation.

He was one of the stars of the show at the BBC's Sports Personality of the Year Awards last year.

Lowery received around 28,000 Christmas cards back in December after his family asked for members of the public to make his holiday wish come true.
