David De Gea Has An Unwanted Record At Euro 2016

Oh dear.

Euro 2016 was supposed to be David de Gea really established himself as a world class goalkeeper, the first time he'd really been given the number one slot for Spain ahead of Iker Casillas. Things haven't turned out well for the Spaniard as he hasn't played well, especially against Croatia.

De Gea was beaten twice as Croatia won 2-1 to top the group, a result that left Spain with a difficult last 16 game against Italy, probably the most impressive side in the Group Stages. The Manchester United goalie made a couple of mistakes against the Croats and looked a little shaky.

And just to make things worse for the former Atletico Madrid number one he was actually the most error prone player in the entire Group Stages, 36 matches and only he made more than one defensive errors:

De Gea comes up against probably the best keeper of his generation in the shape of Gigi Buffon on Sunday and he'll be hoping his Premier League form reappears after what has been a difficult competition for him so far.
