Look, we understand in the heat of the moment it's easy to get carried away and mistakes will happen. It's even more understandable when your club has just scored the second goal of three in a vital relegation six pointer, but we're still not sure if it's acceptable to spell your own player's name wrong and tweet it to almost half a million followers.
Yet this is what Sunderland's social media team did when Jermain Defoe poked Sunderland into a 2-0 lead away at Norwich during the Premier League's lunchtime kick-off today.
Instead of celebrating Jermain Defoe's goal, the Sunderland social team instead congratulated 'German' Defoe on his effort.
They quickly saw the error of their ways and deleted the post, before posting a correction.
At least the celebrations were worth the mistake, though.
