They still sing Sir Matt Busby's name at Old Trafford and they still chant about his 'Babes' and rightly so. The man who bought the club back from the Munich air disaster is a legend but a plaque commemorating him has been removed from the directors box causing outrage.
Busby won the league with Manchester United and famously the European Cup just 10 years after surviving from the Munich air disaster that tragically killed eight of his players and three of his staff along with 12 others.
However the club has reportedly removed a plaque commemorating the club legend taken down from the director's box whilst his grandchildren have also been told that they no longer have access to the seats there. The removal of the plaque has saddened surviving members of the Busby family.

Talking about the club's actions a source told the Manchester Evening News, "For over 40 years Matt Busby's family have had a table in the directors suite at Old Trafford, with four tickets in the directors' box...The powers that be at Old Trafford have decided to call time on this and have told the families they wont be getting any tickets this year.
"Worse than that they have removed the plaques on the seats, including the one with Sir Matt Busby's name on. That name has been on his seat for nearly 50 years - so who is going to sit there now?"
The news has caused anger from fans and one group have set up a petition:
