Sergio Ramos looked to have injured Mohamed Salah in the Champions League final by bringing him to the ground - but new footage has emerged suggesting that the Egyptian King had a part to play.

The final was a match rife with talking points. Gareth Bale's worldie goal, Loris Karius' two howlers that cost Liverpool , and Salah having to be substituted just after the half hour after being taken down by the Real Madrid captain.

Liverpool went on to lose the match 3-1, but the premature exit of their star man sent Reds fans into meltdown.

A petition was set up by furious Liverpool supporters, demanding that action be taken against Ramos for his seemingly intention foul on Salah. It said via Change.org:

"Sergio Ramos represents an awful example to future generations of football players. Instead of winning matches fairly, he uses tricks that defy the spirit of the game and fair play.

"UEFA and FIFA should take measures against Ramos and similar players, using the video recordings of matches to keep the spirit of the game."

But this is just the tip of the iceberg: it's reported that an Egyptian lawyer launch a massive £875,000 lawsuit against Ramos for his part in Salah's injury.

While social media wasn't much better.

As a result of the collision in Kiev, the 25-year-old, who scored an astounding 44 goals in all competitions last season, will face three weeks out of action -but just enough time to return for Egypt at the World Cup in Russia.

But despite the anger and bile aimed at 33-year-old Ramos, a new angle of the incident has come to surface.

This one shows the Egyptian King tugging on Ramos' arm as he falls, suggesting that Salah might not be as innocent as first thought.

We'll leave this one for you decide. Let us know whose fault you think in the comments section.
