Jurrien Timber has dropped an update regarding his injury, and it's the worst possible news for Arsenal fans.
Timber was handed his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest on the weekend following his summer arrival from Ajax in a deal worth a reported £40 million.
The Gunners recorded a 2-1 win at the Emirates, but the result was tinged by the sight of Timber hobbling off the pitch early in the second half, clutching his knee.

And fans were right to fear the worst, with the Daily Mail claiming that the Dutchman is set to undergo knee surgery which will see him sidelined for a significant period of time.
Taking to Instagram to share the bad news with fans, Timber wrote: "Gutted to share my injury is more serious than expected, especially after the warm welcome I've received.
"I wanted to repay you on the pitch, which will not be possible for the forthcoming period. I'm blessed with a lot of great people around me, together we will do anything to get back as soon and strong as possible.

"For now I’ll be supporting our team from the stands of course. Thanks for making me feel at home in such a short period of time, see you at The Carpet."
Timber's absence follows Gabriel Jesus, who is also out with a knee injury he sustained during pre-season.
“He’s had some discomfort in his knee that has been causing some issues and they had to go in and resolve it,” Arteta said last week. “It’s not something major but he’s going to be out for a few weeks I think.”
Oleksandr Zinchenko is likely to replace Timber at left-back after being left out of Arsenal's opening game squad to face Nottingham Forest.

“I think everyone is available,” Arteta said ahead of the game, suggesting the Ukranian may have been left out for tactical reasons. He is expected to be return for the Gunners' clash against Crystal Palace next weekend.
