Republic of Ireland defender Megan Campbell gave Rory Delap a run for his money on Tuesday night when she produced a remarkable throw-in during their Euro 2025 qualifier against England.
The 30-year-old centre-back, who plays her club football for Women's Super League leaders Manchester City, made an instant impact after replacing Louise Quinn on the hour mark.
After walking over to the touchline at Dublin's Aviva Stadium, Campbell launched her trademark throw into the opposition penalty area – a moment that shocked viewers.

Although the missile-like delivery failed to amount to much as Ireland trailed 2-0 following goals from Lauren James and Alex Greenwood, many at home were impressed by the throw.
One fan wrote: "However far you think this ball’s getting thrown, I promise you it’s longer," while another commented: "It’s one of the natural wonders of the world. Throws it further than Delap."

In the past, Campbell has spoken about her unique talent. “Fortunately, my arms are quite hyper-mobile and can go further back than the average person," she told Manchester City's website.
Campbell's cameo performance on Tuesday night was praised by many, including former Republic of Ireland striker Stephanie Roche.

"I think Megan Campbell made a big difference when she came on, she gave us more balance and helped us get Katie McCabe further forward," she told RTE.
"I think it is a better performance than the France game, we had a go and did something different."
Eni Aluko added: "What I always think about when I see this Republic of Ireland side is the spirit. They have a great team spirit and played very well in the second half."
England are currently second in Group A3 with four points from two games, while Ireland sit bottom after failing to record a win.
