The top ten favourites to win EURO 2024 revealed as Gareth Southgate receives major boost

The top ten favourites to win EURO 2024 revealed as Gareth Southgate receives major boost

The odds are in and it will be a welcome sight for the Three Lions.

The top ten favourites to win EURO 2024 have been revealed ahead of this summer's tournament in Germany.

Gareth Southgate and his England squad will be looking to go one step further than EURO 2020, after falling short in the final against Italy at Wembley Stadium.

The two sides faced off nearly three years ago, where Manchester United ace Luke Shaw gave the Three Lions the lead in front of their home crowd.

Juventus veteran Leonardo Bonucci levelled the scoreline in the 67th minute and the game would go on to penalties after a goalless extra-time.

United man Marcus Rashford and Arsenal star Bukayo Saka would go on to miss their penalties, as Italy lifted the trophy for the second time.

Kylian Mbappe will also be looking to right the wrongs of his last international tournament, after falling at the final hurdle against Argentina at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Lionel Messi, and penalty shoot-out hero Emiliano Martinez, went on to lift the coveted trophy - despite the inspired comeback from Mbappe who scored a hat-trick on the evening.

France also suffered defeat in EURO 2016 against Portugal, after Cristiano Ronaldo and his side managed to overcome the odds almost ten years ago.

The tournament is set to commence on Friday, 14 June with Germany versus Scotland being the first fixture.

The final will be held on Sunday, 14 July - exactly a month after the start.

The odds to win are as follows:

  • England 20%
  • France 19%
  • Germany 11%
  • Spain 11%
  • Portugal 10%
  • Belgium 6%
  • Netherlands 5%
  • Italy 5%
  • Denmark 3%
  • Croatia 2%

It has also recently been announced that the squad limit has been increased to 26 ahead of the tournament, which acts as a major boost to the likes of Southgate ahead of the tournament. England's first game will be against Serbia on June 16.
