It is set to cause confusion for viewers with colour vision deficiency (CVD) and could be a 'nightmare' to watch, the Daily Mail have reported.
Red-green colour blindness is the most common type of CVD. Also known as deuteranopia, it causes people to have difficulty seeing different shades of red, green, and yellow.
According to the National Eye Institute, one in twelve men and one in two hundred women are affected by CVD, otherwise known as colour blindness.

The EFL handbook mentions CVD as a consideration but the Premier League one does not.
It is not the first time the Premier League has faced criticism over a clash of kits.

Rugby's world governing body World Rugby is to introduce new laws at the 2027 World Cup that will ban red-green kit clashes to help viewers.
