Man Utd player sends cryptic post about his health ahead of Copenhagen Champions League clash

One Man Utd star posted a cryptic update.

Manchester United winger Amad Diallo posted a cryptic injury update to his Instagram account ahead of his side's Champions League clash against Copenhagen.

United head in to a must-win match against the Danish side at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening, having lost both of their opening group stage fixtures in this season's competition.

After a 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich in Germany, Erik ten Hag's side suffered a 3-2 loss to Galatasaray which was highlighted by numerous errors, Casemiro's sending off and Wilfried Zaha scoring for the Turkish side on his return to Old Trafford.

Another loss at home to Copenhagen would all but eliminate them from the competition.

One key issue for Ten Hag to deal with this season has been persistent injuries, both short-term and long-term.

Amad is currently one of the long-term absentees, having suffered a knee injury in pre-season that required surgery.

The Ivorian was expected to be given a first team opportunity this season following a successful loan spell with Championship side Sunderland last term - and situations involving Antony and Jadon Sancho would have given him even more chances.

But he is yet to play a game this season due to his injury, with United stating that he was expected to return before the end of the year.

Now, Amad has posted a cryptic update to his Instagram account, with a video that shows him training with a football.

However, the winger has confused United supporters by captioning the post: "Health is more important than football."

It is unclear at this stage whether Amad's recovery has been delayed as he continues to work towards a full return.

But Ten Hag will be keen to welcome the 21-year-old back as another attacking option when he is fully fit.

However, according to TEAMtalk, his return to the United first team setup may be short-lived. It is claimed that the Dutchman is willing to sanction another loan move for Amad - and he could return to Tony Mowbray's Sunderland for the second half of the campaign as the Black Cats push for promotion out of the Championship.
