PSG have already found their Kylian Mbappe replacement in stunning €80m transfer no-one saw coming

Paris Saint-Germain appear to have identified their Kylian Mbappe replacement.

Paris Saint-Germain appear to have identified their Kylian Mbappe replacement.

It February it was widely reported that Mbappe would join Real this summer, after the France skipper told PSG he intends to leave the club upon the expiry of his contract in June.

Mbappe’s move to Real could be announced imminently, with it no longer possible for PSG to take on Los Blancos in the Champions League.

As per the BBC, Mbappe is set to sign a five-year contract with Real and will earn £12.8million a season, plus a £128million signing-on bonus to be paid over five years. Moreover, the 25-year-old will keep a percentage of his image rights.

Mbappe, who is PSG’s record scorer, is set to leave a huge void in Paris, but one the French side think they can fill.

Indeed, Le Parisien have claimed that Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is PSG’s priority target to replace Mbappe with talks between all parties said to be advancing well.

It has initially been reported that PSG were not looking for a direct Mbappe replacement on the left flank, having instead opted put their faith in Bradley Barcola and buy an out-on-out No.9 such as Victor Osimhen.

However, the French publication has claimed that PSG now want a left-winger, with Kvaratskhelia identified as the priority target. Talks between relevant parties have allegedly been ongoing for several weeks and are advancing well.

Kvaratskhelia is said to be open to a move to the Parc des Princes with Le Parisien deeming talks between the player’s agents and PSG as particularly positive.

The Georgian’s Napoli contract runs until 2027, with Napoli reportedly looking to hold out for around €80million (£68.83million).

Moreover, Napoli are already said to be scouring the market for a Kvaratskhelia replacement, which suggests the deal to take the 23-year-old to Paris is progressing well.
