WATCH: Sofiane Feghouli Gets Controversial Sending Off Against Manchester United

A good decision?

West Ham United's Sofiane Feghouli was sent off in controversial circumstances early in the first half of their match against Manchester United at the London Stadium this evening.

Earlier today Fernandinho got sent off against Burnley. It was a two footed challenge but still had some questioning whether the sending off was controversial or not.

However Feghouli's early dismissal in the match against Manchester's other team was far more controversial as Mike Dean produced an extremely harsh and unjust red card.

The early bath was courtesy of a challenge on Phil Jones. The ball went loose and Jones went to ground to kick the ball away and the Frenchman did the same but got their late and clattered into the United centre back.

Jones made a bit of the challenge but in no way looked to be trying to get Feghouli sent off. It didn't stop Dean producing his fifth red card of the season and easily the harshest:

Recently United's own Marcos Rojo has been in the headlines for two challenges that have been dangerous and reckless enough to easily earn the Argentine red cards but on both occasions got away with yellows.

Slaven Bilic won't be happy that the task for his team has been made more difficult in such circumstances and fans weren't happy either:
