Peter Crouch has revealed a brilliant story about the moment that Steven Gerrard's clever fancy dress costume fooled a bunch of paparazzi photographers and saved his colleagues from being snapped as they went on a night out.

Likes social media, dances for a goal celebration and is pretty decent at football; has anyone told Graeme Souness about the similarities between Peter Crouch and Paul Pogba?

Crouch is a man who has seen a hell of a lot during his time as a footballer having moved all around the Premier League, becoming one of only 28 men to have scored at least 100 goals in England's top tier in the current era.

He played in a World Cup for England, won a Champions League title with Liverpool and played in the Premier League with Aston Villa, Southampton, Portsmouth, Spurs and Stoke, as well as the Reds.

His experience has seen him bring out a book recently and now he's on a podcast called "That Peter Crouch Podcast," wonder how he came up with that one.

On the podcast the 37 year old revealed a brilliant story about a night out with Liverpool players he once had that resulted in Steven Gerrard's fancy dress costume saving them from paparazzi, saying:

"The Champions League when we got to the final was probably the best [night out].

"I remember he [Gerrard] came as an old man wearing a prosthetic mask and a mobility scooter," Crouch laughed.

"He had a pipe and a flat cap. There were paparazzi outside and everyone was getting photographed but Stevie buzzed straight in. The fellas moved out the way and helped him in!"

The man who's good with his feet for a big man also spoke about the night out after they'd won the 2007 Champions League semi-final, saying, "We still had our tracksuits on in the club but nobody cared because we were in the Champions League final and you can do whatever you like.

"The whole city was buzzing, there were film stars there.

"The FA Cup was up there and the night we got in the Champions League with Tottenham after beating Man City."
