Sunday League side Duckpond FC celebrated their league title win in style after organising an open-top double-decker bus parade.

The club, which was formed in Essex in 2011, decided to splash out £4,000 after finishing top of the Colchester and District Sunday League.

And it's not the first time that Duckpond has brought out the bus for their celebratory triumph.

According to the BBC, the club have been promoted three times in their history and they have celebrated each time with a bus parade and party in the town.

Fans have flocked to social media to share videos and pictures -- something that will put a smile on anybody's face.

But Duckpond wanted to make sure everyone was aware of their title win and even took to the skies thanks to a plane carrying their triumph on a banner.

"We want the world to know we won," player-manager Michael Hammond told the BBC.

The Sunday League side were firing on all cylinders as they won 15 out of 16 matches this season and also picked up the Fowler Memorial Cup after beating Harts FC 3-0.

The 29-year-old player-manager, who founded the club, added: "We've won all the divisions now -- we're officially the best Sunday League team in Essex.

"Grassroots football is dying, so many teams are folding or have quit.

"But it's on days like this you realise it's not the level of football but the passion and commitment."

The big question on many people's minds will be where does Duckpond head from here?

Well, they are now calling themselves "champions of Essex" as they are unable to climb any higher in the Sunday League rankings.

But it looks like that £4,000 investment in the parade was well worth it after achieving such a major feat in the club's history.
