Alexis Sanchez has been granted temporary leave by Arsenal following the 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Bayern Munich on Wednesday but there's a group of people who want the Gunners star to leave Arsenal for good.

No, no they are not as Arsenal fans as it's very clear that they desperately want to hold on to their talisman, but thousands of people in Sanchez's native Chile are said to have planned a march in a bid to get him to leave Arsenal.

Sanchez, who scored Arsenal's only goal in the drubbing in Munich, was pretty much the only Arsenal player to turn up and looked increasingly frustrated at the lack of service and support he received from his teammates.

It wasn't quite the frustration we saw displayed by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who threw his toys out of the pram when Bayern just passed the ball around him and he had no teammates helping him out in pressing.

Sanchez has had to do it all on his own at times and a group of people back in Chile have had enough and are planning a "peaceful protest" on March 1.

We're not sure how on earth it's going to have an effect on Sanchez's decision at the end of the season but they are giving it a go anyway.

The group put out a statement on their Facebook page and explained their feelings.

The statement read:

"We, as Chileans are tired to watch one of our biggest stars play on his own to make his team get through.

"We don't want him to play at Real Madrid, nor go back to Barcelona, we don't give a f*ck where he plays, we just want him to fight along with other 10 players to get the results.

"He doesn't deserve to be alone."

Some reports have surfaced today that Sanchez had a dressing room bust-up after the Bayern loss and so the group of Chileans may well get their wish.
