Manchester City were involved in one of the greatest Champions League games in the tournament's history last night, as they came back from 2-0 down to beat Monaco 5-3 at the Etihad.

In fact, the game was so good, one City fan decided he wanted a little memento - Kevin De Bruyne's shirt.

Although, instead of simply waiting to see if the Belgian would go over to the fans and happen to give him his jersey, this City supporter took a proactive approach and pretended to be a steward to get on the pitch.

Dressed in the same uniform worn by stewards - the plucky fan walked over to de Bruyne and asked if he could have the former Chelsea-man's shirt, to which he happily obliged.

The fan then made a quick exit, sprinting back to the stands as other stewards caught on to his cheeky scheme:

He was then captured on camera darting away from the stewards who tried to stop him in his tracks. He even had the cheek to go for a knee-slide!

Dramatic game at the Etihad

The 5-3 thriller between Manchester City and AS Monaco had absolutely everything.

In the first half Radamel Falcao cancelled out Raheem Sterling's opener before Kylian Mbappe secured the lead for Monaco.

In a jam-packed all-action second half, Sergio Aguero grabbed an equaliser, before ex-Manchester United forward Falcao scored a delightful chip to restore the visitors lead.

Late goals from Aguero, John Stones and Leroy Sane sealed the victory for Pep Guardiola's side.
