EA remove one of the highest-rated players from FC 24 Ultimate Team after bizarre bug spotted

EA Sports are looking into the bug and have removed the player temporarily.

Fans are unable to play with a player on EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team after a bizarre bug affecting performance.

The game is officially released on Friday (September 29) but plenty of fans have been stuck right into EA FC 24 through EA Play and the Ultimate Edition.

Many have already worked out the best players to use but already one in particular is causing absolute chaos - yet not in a good way.

Plenty are experiencing the problem with Lyon and Norway striker Ada Hegerberg, the Ballon d'Or Feminin winner in 2018, and it only appears to apply to her.

The 28-year-old is 89-rated on the game, with 86 dribbling and four-star skills, but her virtual self hasn't been doing the business.

For reasons which cannot be explained, when pressing the L2 / LT trigger - depending on which console - Hegerberg proceeds to leave the ball.

The striker genuinely just runs away while in possession and a slew of gamers have encountered the very same issue.

It's been so frustrating, in fact, that EA have been forced to temporarily blacklist Hegerberg on the mode until a solution is reached over the glitch.

When they load up the mode, gamers receive the following message: “We are investigating an issue impacting the Ada Hegerberg Player Item.

“During this time, players who have this Item in their active Squad will not be able to start a match until the Item is removed from the Squad.

“Players who have the Ada Hegerberg Player Item in Ultimate Draft will have their Drafts reset and will be provided with a Draft Token in the coming days.”

The statement has also been published by EA Sports over on X, formerly known as social media.

It's also emerged that a total of nine formations including three or five at the back have been banned by EA but is only applicable in professional tournaments.

Pro player Ollelito took to X to write: "EA decided to ban all 3 and 5 back formations for the upcoming tournaments. Biggest dub in a long time!"
