There are certain players that are easily forgotten when they leave your team. For Spurs fans one of those must be Brazilian midfielder Paulinho. And they certainly wouldn't expect to see him popping up with this worldie.

Paulinho certainly wasn't well known for his brilliant goals during his time at White Hart Lane, but then you'd struggle to pinpoint exactly what it is he is best remembered for.

The midfielder was famously one of the players bought off the money that the club made from the sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid for a then world record fee.

Spurs owner Daniel Levy described the sale of Bale in exchange for signing Paulinho, Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela as "selling Elvis to sign the Beatles."

Unfortunately things didn't turn out for the then 24 year old and just a couple of years later he became one of the first players to join the Chinese revolution signing for Guangzhou Evergrande.

However that doesn't seem to have affected him too much as he scored this wonder strike for Brazil tonight against Uruguay.

Paulinho actually scored 10 goals in his two seasons at White Hart Lane, scoring six times in the league in his first Premier League campaign.

The 28 year old has scored four goals in 10 games in all competitions so far this season including two in two.

Maybe he's a goalscoring machine after all!
