Good start.

The two most satisfying things as a manager must be when your substitute comes on to score or when a new player you've just bought scores on debut. For Unai Emery both of those happened today.

Emery only took over the reigns at PSG at the end of last season but the Spaniard has been under pressure with both Nice and Monaco about the French champions in the league.

Despite that pressure the manager was allowed to go and spend in the January window with the French capital side bringing in German winger Julian Draxler.

Draxler signed from Wolfsburg at the beginning of the transfer window having basically forced a move away from the Bundesliga and scored on debut:

Draxler was a second half substitute and scored his cheeky lob making Emery no doubt feeling a little bit smug about himself.

It was hardly an important goal as the World Cup winner simply added the seventh goal in a 7-0 win over Bastia in the French cup.
