Antonio Cassano was once one of the hottest prospects in football, becoming the world's most expensive teenager at the age of 19 when Roma paid Bari £26m for him, in 2001. Now the Italian striker has been left without a shirt number at Sampdoria.

The 34-year-old was recently asked by a fan for a shirt, to which Cassano replied "Shirt? I don't even have a number."

The two time Serie A Young Player Of The Year is currently in his second spell with the Genoa club, having spent four years at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris between 2007-2011, before departing for AC Milan. He returned to Samp last year, making 25 appearances but only scoring two goals during the 2015/16 campaign.

Cassano has made a bad habit of clashing with managers throughout his career, including Fabio Capello (at Roma and Real Madrid) and Andrea Stramaccioni at Inter. Now it seems as if Sampdoria head coach Marco Giampaolo has lost patience with the striker and will likely allow the former AC Milan and Parma man to leave once his contract expires in the Summer.
