Despite having a shaky start to his time as Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has turned things round at Stamford Bridge over the past couple of months, leading the Blues to eight consecutive victories and a place at the Premier League summit.

And it is the Italian's first demand at Stamford Bridge that is one of the main reasons for this reversal in fortunes.

Upon beginning his tenure in South London, the no nonsense ex-Juventus and Italy boss demanded that Eden Hazard not be sold, despite the Belgian's unrest at the club following a poor 2015/16 campaign.

It took the former Lille winger until April to score his first Premier League goal, last season, whereas he now has eight goals to his name already, this term. The 2015 PFA Player of The Year's revival has been key to Chelsea's dominance over the last two months and Hazard seems to be enjoying himself once again, a far cry from the player who's form was a source of constant ridicule, last season.

According to ESPN, Conte instructed Chelsea's hierarchy that under no circumstances could Hazard be sold, as he wanted to build his team around the Belgian, which is a decision that is now paying huge dividends.
