Arsenal are said to be monitoring the situation of £50 million rated Torino striker Andrea Belotti.

According to The Sun, Arsene Wenger has been impressed by what he has seen by the Italian and is interested in a move at some point down the line.

His interest is so strong that he reportedly wants to be notified if any other clubs are trying to sign him.

Wenger needs to look for attacking players given that Olivier Giroud isn't getting any younger and Alexis Sanchez's future is in doubt.

And Belotti, the next big attacking talent to emerge from Italy, is catching his eye.

The Torino man has scored an impressive 14 goals in all competitions for Torino this term and has also scored three times for Italy in World Cup qualifiers.

Wenger won't go after him this January, with a summer move more likely to take place. Arsenal would not fancy forking out Belotti's value of £50m midway in the season, especially with Danny Welbeck nearing full fitness.

A source in Italy told The Sun:

"Arsenal have an option for Belotti from Torino, and he is available for 60m Euros.

"That is to get him now before any other teams come in for him, but Arsenal will not pay that amount just yet.

"They will wait to see what happens with him this season, and think about moving for him again in the summer."

Chelsea and Manchester United are also said to have shown interest, while Barcelona and Real Madrid have apparently been watching his progress this season.
