Arsenal have more or less completed a move to sign one of Borussia Dortmund's main men.

No, the Gunners aren't bringing in a new player from Peter Bosz's side, they are snapping up BVB's chief scout Sven Mislintat, as per Sport Bild.

The German outlet say that an official announcement is imminent and that Arsenal will pay Dortmund £1.8 million (two million euros) for his services. He's under contract at the club until 2021.

Arsenal are on the hunt for a new scout to head up their recruitment, with Steve Rowley poised to leave the club at the end of the season after 35 years of service. He has been in the head of recruitment role since 1996 under Arsene Wenger but is set to call it a day.

However, his replacement will arrive in North London with a brilliant track record when you look at some of the players he has signed for Borussia Dortmund - the likes of Mats Hummels, Christian Pulisic, Robert Lewandowski, Shinji Kagawa, Ousmane Dembele and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Bayern Munich, who have done their fair share of poaching players from Dortmund, have long been interested in Mislintat, who has been with the club since 2009.

But it's Arsenal who are in line to make a potentially monumental statement by drafting in one of the most respected scouts in the business, who has a knack for talent-spotting.

It promises to be a very, very exciting move on Arsenal's part.
