Mario Balotelli was cautioned for complaining to the referee about alleged racist taunts last night in the French league.

Nice traveled to Dijon in search of three league points, but the hosts edged out Balotelli and co. 3-2. Though the game was marred following the incident involving the ex-Manchester City and Liverpool striker.

After a goalless first half, the second half sparked into life.

Julio Tavares gave Dijon the lead on the hour mark though Pierre Lees Melou leveled minutes later. Alassane Plea then gave the visitors the lead shortly after.

However, Tavares and Kwon Chang-hoon added Dijon's second and third to eventually secure all three points.

While Balotelli didn't get on the score-sheet, he was center of attention after some despicable, and shocking, officiating.

Nice claim their striker was targeted by racist abuse from a section of the home fans, who was subsequently booked for raising the issue with the referee.

WHAT THE F*CK?!

Following the game, Nice coach Lucien Favre and club president Jean-Pierre Riviere expressed their frustration towards the match official.

Rivere said: "It's been four consecutive games that we have the feeling of playing at 11 against 12.

"The differences of refereeing from one match to the other are incomprehensible," he added.

Truly horrific officiating. Disgraceful.
