Bayern Munich may be 10 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga and have advanced to the quarter finals of the Champions League and semi finals of the DFB Pokal, but not everyone at the Allianz Arena is happy with their current situation.

Recently, Brazilian winger Douglas Costa spoke out about his unhappiness at the way he was being used by Ancelotti, saying after the 5-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, "I speak to the club often. We talk about my situation, if I'll stay here or if I have to find another team to play for. I'm not always that happy here. But soon we will find a situation."

Now Joshua Kimmich has admitted he's in the same boat as Costa, with the young German utility player expressing his dissatisfaction with his lack of minutes recently, having been reduced to an unused substitute role during Saturday's 3-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.

"It does not matter whether I understand it or not. The fact is I'm not satisfied with it and I want to change it.

"The coach knows I can play as a number six and at right back, also in the centre of defence. From that he has many options to use me.

"I know my weaknesses and work on them - especially when I'm not playing, I try to do more.

"In the Bundesliga we have a good lead now and maybe [the team] will be rotated."

Kimmich was brought into the Bayern first team by Pep Guardiola, immediately establishing himself as a first team regular, making 36 first team appearances in his debut season with the Bavarians and subsequently being earmarked as the successor to club captain Phillip Lahm, who will retire at the end of the current campaign.

Despite a strong start to this season, which saw the 22-year-old score seven goals by mid-October, Kimmich has now not started a game in almost a month, with his last inclusion in Ancelotti's first XI coming on 18th February, when the German champions were held to a 1-1 draw by Hertha Berlin.

While Kimmich may have his frustrations at the Allianz Arena, the man he's been tipped to replace, Phillip Lahm, told reporters that he believes the 22-year-old will continue to thrive in Bavaria.

"Josh has showed what level he can play at but we are at Bayern.

"It is always difficult to play from the start, you have to accept that.

"He is absolutely professional and I believe it is a question of time until he plays again."

Should Ancelotti continue to overlook Kimmich, the young German defender will have no shortage of suitors across Europe, with Pep Guardiola no doubt keen to reunite with the former RB Leipzig youngster, at Manchester City.
