Tributes continue to pour in for Chapecoense following the tragic plane crash which devastated the Brazilian team on the eve of their Copa Sudamerica final with Atletico Nacional tragically taken 71 lives.

The footballing community is rallying around Chape; from Eidur Gudjohnsen offering his services to the club and now the Brazil national team inviting Colombia to play a friendly with proceeds going to a great cause.

The money raised from the game will be donated to the families of the Chape's plane crash victims but there's still a few details to be ironed out before the game gets the green light.

A spokesman for the Brazilian football federation said the BFA are hoping they can secure a date and venue against Colombia though will play a game regardless if they are unable to attend;

"The idea is that the game will be against Colombia, for all that represents. But we don't know if they will be able to come because of the date." Via The Sun.

Continuing to add; "But a friendly will take place, against someone else if not Colombia, probably on either January 22 or 25."

"The proceeds from the match will be sent to the families of the players, the staff and those involved with Chapecoense who died in the crash."

The proposed game is being lined up to be played at either the iconic Maracanã in Rio de Janiero or in Chapecó. Let's hope this game comes to fruition!
