Little Bradley Lowery is to be the England Mascot for the World Cup qualifier against Lithuania next month.

The five-year old has been invited by The FA to walk out with the players at Wembley on 26 March, following on from serving as mascot for his beloved Sunderland.

Bradley has appeared on numerous occasions as a mascot for his beloved Black Cats as his family have tried to raise funds for the youngster to get treatment in America for the rare cancer.

There was a huge campaign for Bradley to get the Goal of the Month award after slotting home past Asmir Begovic in the warm-up before Sunderland's game against Chelsea and December.

Bradley, from Blackhall Colliery in County Durham, has become a huge hit with the British public thanks to his immense bravery and incredible smile.

Unfortunately his family revealed in a Facebook post a couple of days back that during scans doctors found a new tumour growing in the youngsters lower back.

"Bradley scans show that there has been a small reduction in some parts however there is a new tumour on the bottom of his back."

And the family revealed how knocked by the news they are, "As you can imagine we are devastated and heart broken with this news as I really wanted the new treatment to work.

"We are not sure where we go from here as it will depend on his bone marrow biopsy results."

The world has well and truly fallen for Bradley and seeing him walk out with England next month will leave us tearing up.

Our thoughts are with Bradley and his family and we hope he has the experience of a lifetime at England's next international fixture.
