Cristiano Ronaldo could be hit with a ban for storming off the pitch before the final whistle was blown against Serbia on Saturday.
The Portugal talisman was incensed after his strike - which appeared to cross the line - was not given due to there being no goal-line technology or VAR.
The goal would have made it 3-2 in stoppage time but Stefan Mitrovic's clearance was deemed to have stopped the whole of the ball crossing the line - even if images later showed it didn't.
Manager Fernando Santos later revealed the referee apologised for the costly error.

A furious Ronaldo was cautioned for his protests by the referee but walked off the pitch before the game was finished, throwing his captains' armband to the turf.
And Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport reckon Ronaldo could be banned for at least one game for his conduct.

Article 11 in the Disciplinary Code states: "Associations and clubs, as well as their players, officials or any other member or person performing a function on their behalf, must comply with the Laws of the Game, the FIFA Statutes and the regulations, directives, guidelines, circulars and the decisions of FIFA; likewise, they must comply with the principles of fair play, loyalty and integrity."
Ronaldo has not been found guilty of a charge yet but Portugal will be praying he is not suspended for upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was widely criticised for his antics and responded with an Instagram post.
