Jordan Henderson's Rant At Croatia Manager Zlatko Dalic Could Be Heard Loud And Clear

It wasn't hard to pick up what he was saying...

As weird and boring as last night's behind-closed-doors UEFA Nations League game with Croatia was, at least we got to hear England players shouting throughout - which isn't something you can always say.

There were no fans allowed to be in attendance at Croatia's 8,000 Stadion HNK Rijeka due to the World Cup finalists being hit with a UEFA charge back in 2015 when a swastika symbol was marked out the pitch before the Euro 2016 qualifier against Italy - as if it had been burnt into the surface.

It was a surreal and strange experience watching the Three Lions with atmosphere replaced by silence and the World Cup semi-final rematch suffered as a result.

Still, it was well worth watching just to hear Jordan Henderson scream at Croatia boss Zlatko Dalic.

The Liverpool skipper was penalised by referee Felix Brych for a handball in the first half but he felt Dalic's appeal influenced the decision and let him know about it - shouting "Are you the f****** ref?" very, very loudly.

With the ground so quiet you could hear a pin drop, the outburst was heard clear as day on Sky Sports' coverage.

Henderson has a knack for being very vocal on the pitch, hence why he is Liverpool captain - and no lip-reading was necessary here. In fact, his teammate James Milner had already given us all a warning prior to the game:

Former Sunderland man Henderson, along with John Stones, will be unavailable to play against Spain away from home on Monday after both picked up bookings last night.
