Xherdan Shaqiri scored what will probably turn out to be the best goal of Euro 2016, and left every onlooker bedazzled by his strike - including pop star Shakira.
Playing for his country Switzerland in today's last-16 match against Poland, Shaqiri pulled-off a stunning overhead kick from the edge of the penalty area, but it wasn't enough to stop the Swiss eventually losing on penalties.
But the Stoke City winger will probably have been cheered up to find that Shakira - wife of Spain and Barcelona ace Gerard Pique - was an admirer of his goal, and paid an unexpected tribute to it on Twitter:
To be fair, within minutes of Shaqiri's ball finding the back of the net, the internet was awash with Shakira puns, so we understand where she's coming from.

Whilst we're sure Pique will be delighted by his better half's new-found interest in Stoke City's players, we're betting her statistic won't be making it into the Guinness Book of World Records any time soon.
