It's finally over folks. After weeks of speculation surrounding his future, West Ham have agreed to sell Dimitri Payet in a deal worth a reported £25 million.
It was one of the worst kept secrets in football. Payet took to Twitter yesterday to post a picture of a plane with the caption "on rentre a la maison", which translates as "we're going home", which didn't go down well with West Ham fans.
Then Ligue 1 side Marseille finally announced the news late last night, as the club posted pictures of Payet completing his medical on Snapchat.

Shortly after the news surfaced online, David Sullivan's son Jack posted on Twitter to reveal his feelings towards Dimitri Payet's move.
As you can imagine, it caused quite the stir.
Sullivan decided to make a Twitter poll shortly before his infamous tweet and the majority said 'yes'.
Five minutes later, Jack aimed this tweet at former West Ham midfielder Dimitri Payet. It went viral pretty quickly:
We reported last week that Dimitri Payet refused to attend training sessions with the club's U23 team, which further breached his contract as he aimed to force through a move back to Marseille.

Payet's future at West Ham was cast into huge doubt back in December when he told SFR Sport:
"I am not closing the door to anything. Marseille have a new project which seems interesting. Aside from that, we are obviously waiting to see the first few things that the new owners do, but Marseille knows how attached I am to the club."
It is being reported that Payet has taken a £25,000-a-week pay-cut to join his former club.
