Lionel Messi has scored the odd good goal in his career, there's been a couple of important ones too. It wouldn't be easiest to chose your favourite from his career but the Barcelona forward has a pretty good idea of his best, and it's not what you'd expect.
After 464 goals and 28 different titles with Barcelona there's not much the 29 year old hasn't done in his club career up to now. Within those 464 goals there's been some genuinely world class goals, there kind of has to be when you've scored that many.
One that automatically jumps to mind is his goal against Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey final in 2015 or the Champions League semi-final goal against Bayern Munich that left Jerome Boateng on his arse in the same year, and that's just from my sketchy memory.

However the Argentinian revealed in an interview on Neymar's website celebrating Messi's birthday that his best goal, according to him, was a 'simple' header against Manchester United in the Champions League final in 2009.
"I always say that I consider the importance of the goal, more than for its beauty and so mine would be the first I scored in a Champions League final, with a header (against Manchester United in 2009), for the importance it had."
Messi's goal came with Barca 1-0 up against their Premier League opponents in Rome but United had weathered the harshest of the La Liga side's storm before Messi's goal killed off the game.

He went on to score a better goal against United in the final of the Champions League two years later at Wembley however in that game the Old Trafford side were very much still in the game at 2-1 and it's obviously the importance of the goal that puts it top of the player's personal list.
