Harry Kane and Jermain Defoe are two of the top Premier League's scorers this season.
Kane has netted 19 this term, while Defoe has managed to score 14 times despite playing in a struggling Sunderland side.
Following Kane's recent ankle injury, Defoe has been brought back into the national team fold for games against Germany and Lithuania.
And with Defoe taking Kane's place, it feels like a good time to revisit the fact that a young Kane saw Defoe as one of his idols and has a brilliant story about meeting him back in the day.

Teddy Sheringham and David Beckham were both heroes for Kane growing up, as was Defoe, who he later went on to play with at Spurs.
But that wasn't the first time the two had been in the same company, as they had met years before when Kane was a youngster and Defoe was an established Premier League striker.
Back when Kane was at school, he was playing football with his mates in the street when Defoe turned up in his car and joined in with the kickabout.

It's a crazy turn of events when you think of it. Defoe joins an 11-year old Kane and his mates in a game of football on the street, Kane comes through the ranks at Spurs and then gets the opportunity to partner Defoe, before ultimately replacing him as Spurs' talisman.
And now the next chapter in the story is a 34-year old Defoe replacing Kane in the England squad after years away.
