In one of the most bizarre endings to a football game, Stoke City and Duisburg had a penalty shoot-out between three players. Two of them were goalkeepers and one of them was Jack Butland, who took and scored all three penalties.
The Potters travelled to Germany and played out a 1-1 draw in the friendly, which then unexpectedly went to a penalty shoot-out.
But evidently it wasn't like anything we've seen before as Butland assumed duties from 12 yards as well as carrying out his usual role in between the sticks.
He was unable to save any of the spot-kicks he faced but displayed a remarkable ability taking penalties when he converted all three.
However, despite the shoot-out finishing all square at 3-3, somehow Duisburg were declared the winners - much to the confusion of the Stoke Twitter account.
Butland has courted strong interest from Villa ahead of their upcoming season back in the Premier League but there's extra reason for Stoke to resist any offers having seen how he takes a penalty.
