Laurent Koscielny Disrespects Wes Morgan Over Talk Of Titles

Some strange words, indeed.

Laurent Koscielny disrespected Wes Morgan as he spoke about being recognised for winning titles.

The French defender will be hoping they can take another step towards glory on their own patch. And winning trophies is something Koscielny admits that he needs to start doing. He's won just two FA Cups in his time at Arsenal and those are the only major competitions he's ever tasted success in.

The Gunners man was speaking to L'Equipe ahead of today's game against Ireland and admitted that he'll recognition once he starts winning titles. But he threw some shade at Premier League title-winning Leicester City captain Wes Morgan while doing that.

Koscielny, per getfootballnewsfrance.com, said: "Win titles? I do not know."

"Maybe... Leicester became champions and Morgan was in the best XI of the Premier League. Is he better than me? Could he play for a top four team?"

Well, he does play for a top four team, in case you forgot they won the league last season Laurent.

Morgan was a stalwart for Claudio Ranieri's Foxes team and you'd imagine he'd be playing at Euro 2016 this summer had he not been a Jamaica international competing at the Copa America.

If Koscielny can help France to European Championship glory then maybe he can have a reason to be disrespectful to other defenders in the Premier League. But as long as he plays a part in an Arsenal team which consistently finishes in the top four but never as champions, then he'd probably be best keeping quiet. Or at least that's what Morgan would tell him.
