The Liverpool-Manchester United rivalry is one of the biggest football and in terms of silverware, there's not much in it between the two.

United have more league titles, with 20 compared to Liverpool's 18.

Liverpool have five won the European Cup five times, whereas United have won it three times.

In total, excluding competitions such as the UEFA Super Cup, Community Shield or Club World Cup, Liverpool have won 41 major honours and are therefore the most successful club in English football.

But should Manchester United win the EFL Cup tomorrow, they will be on par with Liverpool.

One Manchester United fan made Liverpool's official Twitter account well aware of that with this tweet:

In fact, Liverpool were pretty much forced to change their biography because of that little bit of social media activity.

Their bio now merely states that it is the worldwide account for Liverpool FC.

The United fan was clearly absolutely loving his bit of banter forcing Liverpool to change their bio, judging by his tweets that followed:

As they often do, Liverpool fans will no doubt be cheering on United's opponents Southampton tomorrow and the Anfield club will obviously be looking to see if there are any more players they can sign from Saints.

Who do you think will come on top in the EFL Cup final?

Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
