Jose Mourinho has a book coming out titled Jose Mourinho: Up Close and Personal in which writer Rob Beasley details stories and gatherings from the Portuguese manager's fruitful and controversial career.
There have already been snippets of the book published, ranging from Jennifer Anniston to Mourinho wanting to smash Arsene Wenger's face in.
The latest extract is orientated around a 30th birthday party Michael Essien hosted in 2012 during his time at Real Madrid. Out of the whole Real Madrid squad, two players, Ricardo Carvalho and Luka Modric were the only ones to attended and Mourinho was not happy.
Beasley accounts the debacle in the book.

He writes:
"Mourinho said that Madrid was a political club with warring factions and told me a story about Essien inviting teammates to his 30th birthday but only a few turned up. He had to console Essien, saying it was nothing personal and that it didn't mean the players didn't like him but they simply were only concerned with themselves and had better things to do."
Real Madrid finished the 2012/13 season empty-handed, finishing 2nd in La Liga, reaching the Champions League semi-finals as well as being knocked out of the Copa Del Rey at the round of 32 stage by arch-rivals Atletico.
Maybe it had something to do with a lack of team spirit...
