Let's face it, there's no one coming close to N'Golo Kante when it comes to the PFA Player of the Year voting, this year.

The Frenchman has dominated almost every game he's played in for Chelsea since arriving from Leicester City in a £30m deal, last Summer and is being heavily backed to similarly dominate the end of season individual honours list.

The 25-year-old ranks third for tackles won in the Premier League this season with 67 successful attempts, while also making the seventh most interceptions (63) and fourth most successful passes (1,655), yet the former Caen man is refusing to acknowledge himself as the most important player in the English top flight and has instead opted to shower praise on his Chelsea teammates, instead.

Speaking to Telefoot, Kante said, "I'm flourishing but I don't feel like the best player in the Premier League.

"There are a lot of good players. A lot of guys would deserve that title on my team."

Kante will likely be nominated for the PFA gong alongside teammates Diego Costa and Eden Hazard, who have both returned to their finest form following a disastrous 2015/16 campaign in which Chelsea, then defending Premier League champions, finished 10th in a campaign that saw Jose Mourinho fired by the club for the second time.

Despite his modesty, Kante is the red hot favourite to lift the PFA Player of the Year award and will also likely scoop the Football Writer's Award.
